The president of Cor Jesu College, Inc., Br. Ellakim P. Sosmeña, SC, together with Mr. Jahmil Mabida, Director of the Sacred Heart Formation and Mission (SHFM), attended the International Session in Rome (S.I.R.) held from June 26 to July 15, 2025, at the Fratelli del Sacré-Coeur, the General House of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy.
The SIR was organized by the Commission for the Promotion of the Foundation Charism (CPFC). The session aimed to deepen the understanding and promotion of the charism and shared mission of Fr. André Coindre, strengthen collaboration and coordination with the commission, and foster devotion to the sanctity of Fr. Coindre.
This historic gathering brought together 14 Brothers and 15 Lay Partners from across the Institute—including the French-speaking regions, Africa and Madagascar, the North-South Conference, Latin America and Spain, and the Anglophone Conference. It marked the first time in 200 years that both Brothers and Lay Partners convened globally to reflect on and celebrate their shared charism.
