The TerpsiCORean Performing Group (TPG) earned a Gold Award during the 11th Paligsahan ng Katutubong Sayaw, held in conjunction with the 44th National Folk Dance Workshop in Iloilo City. The achievement marks another milestone for the performing group as it continues to showcase Filipino culture and artistic excellence on the national stage.

The winning ensemble was composed of current members of the TerpsiCORean Performing Group, together with its alumni from batches 2023, 2024, and 2025. Their collaboration demonstrated the strong bond and shared passion for cultural preservation among both present and former members of the organization.

For the competition, the group performed “Palobo,” a traditional folk dance originating from San Narciso, Quezon Province. The dance portrays themes of courtship and love, illustrating deep affection, sincere effort, and devotion between individuals. Through expressive movements and authentic interpretation, the performers successfully brought the story and cultural significance of the dance to life.

The Gold Award serves as a testament to the dedication, discipline, and artistry of the performers, as well as the organization’s continued commitment to promoting and preserving Philippine folk traditions. Their success not only highlights their talent in the performing arts but also contributes to the appreciation and celebration of the country’s rich cultural heritage.
