Service in Action: CJC Returns to Bansalan for Serbisyo Caravan

Cor Jesu College once again demonstrated its commitment to community engagement and social responsibility as its team participated for the second time in the Serbisyo Caravan organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Rizal, Bansalan, Davao del Sur. This continued involvement reflects the institution’s dedication to extending meaningful service beyond the campus and into local communities in need.

The outreach activity involved the distribution of essential items such as alcohol, slippers, feminine hygiene products, school supplies, and clothing. These contributions aimed to address immediate needs while promoting health, dignity, and access to basic resources among community members.

More than a simple act of giving, the initiative aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By providing basic necessities and support, the caravan contributes to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through relief efforts, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting hygiene and wellness, and SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the provision of school supplies. Furthermore, the collaboration between institutions highlights SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by fostering trust and inclusive service, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the strengthened cooperation between Cor Jesu College and government agencies.

Through this repeated effort, Cor Jesu College continues to embody its mission of delivering consistent, holistic, and compassionate service—reinforcing the value of sustained community involvement and the power of partnerships in creating lasting impact.
