Office of the Registrar bares strong enrolment figures for AY 2012-2013

The Office of the Registrar has disclosed that there has been an increase in school enrolment for the academic year 2012-2013, attributing it to the success of the efforts of all administrators.

Enrolment in the College Department for the first semester stands at 3,230 representing an increase of 10.73 percent over the AY 2011-2012 first semester figures of 2,917. With 64 for the Graduate School and 190 for the Law School, total enrolment for the current academic year has already reached 3,514 which is a 13.03 percent higher than last academic year.

In the college department, Sunday College posted a significant growth of 47.80 percent while Health Sciences and Computer Studies went down by 29.33 percent and 18.79 percent, respectively. The Graduate School and the Law School also performed better with staggering increases of 45.45 percent and 28.38 percent, respectively. The table below shows that seventy eight percent of the divisions performed well in this current academic year.

Br. Ellakim P. Sosmeña, S.C., the School President, also attributed such remarkable growth to the improvement in the academic and physical facilities. The school is presently undergoing infrastructure projects. There is an ongoing construction of four- and five-storey academic and administrative buildings for the college department amounting to P 130 million.  This will house laboratories, classrooms, multi-purpose hall, and the offices of the President, Vice Presidents, Finance, Registrar, Students Services, Human Resource, Campus Ministry, Guidance, Clinic, External and Alumni Affairs, Deans and Academic Heads, College Faculty Lounge, etc.
