Engineering Researchers Present Inventions

Two engineers of Cor Jesu College recently presented their applied research projects to the school president during a courtesy call last February 28, 2019 at the latter’s office.

Engr. Juvy Amor M. Galindo, MEP, MSCpE and Engr. Jamie Eduardo C. Rosal, MSCpE collaborated in a research project entitled “Development of a Microcontroller Trainer Module for Engineering Students.”  Their innovative project was used by engineering students for their projects in four major subjects, particularly in hardware programming and microcontroller interfacing.  Also called as laboratory trainer module, it covers sensors, motor, Bluetooth modules, switches, and display.

Engr. Rosal also presented his own research project entitled “Acceleration Data Logging System for structural Health Monitoring using Triaxial MEMS Accelerator.”  The device he created was used for collecting and monitoring data on structural beams of midrise buildings.  The prototype provides information and presentation of acceleration vibration of Z Axes on a midrise structure.

Engr. Rosal and Engr. Galindo are currently working on two new projects.  The school supported their research endeavors through the funding from the Research and Publication Office.
