Cor Jesu College of Digos City emerged as the champion in the 2nd Inter-School Cooperative Quiz Bee, held in Digos City as part of the 2025 National Cooperative Month celebration.
Representing Cor Jesu College were Kieth Careen Clarion and Rico Pacquiao, who, under the guidance of their coach Joanne Diesca, showcased exceptional knowledge and teamwork that led them to victory. The team bested six other participating schools in the city.
The University of Mindanao – Digos College and Southern Mindanao Computer College secured the first and second runner-up spots, respectively. Other participating institutions included Davao del Sur State College, Savers College, and Mary Mediatrix Academy.
City Administrator Rex Fortich Cagas graced the event and delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the vital role of cooperatives in fostering progress and unity within society. He encouraged the youth to take initiative in leadership and to serve their communities with integrity and compassion.
“Young people are the future stewards of the cooperative movement,” Cagas said. “We need leaders who act with compassion, integrity, and a clear vision. Real change starts with empowered, value-driven youth.”
The event was organized by the Digos City Cooperative, led by Joy Salao, in line with this year’s theme celebrating the spirit of cooperation and collective growth.
