On December 4, 2025, the faculty and staff of Cor Jesu College joined the annual Panaw-duaw, a simple yet profound pilgrimage of faith and community. The journey began on campus with communal prayers, after which the participants walked together toward the church—the sacred place where the community encounters the living God.
In his homily, Fr. Tom reminded everyone that the love of God must remain the strongest foundation of all decisions. He emphasized that a pilgrimage is often tiring, hot, and far from comfortable, yet its challenges gain meaning when we recognize where—and to Whom—we are journeying. When our steps are directed toward God, the road becomes not a burden but a path of freedom and grace.
In harmony with the Jubilee of Hope, this year’s Panaw-duaw invited the entire community to become true “pilgrims of hope,” walking with trust, faith, and renewed purpose. Upon reaching the church, the group participated in the renewal of baptismal promises, venerated the Holy Cross, and celebrated the Holy Mass together.
As we walked side by side, our togetherness found its deepest purpose in being directed toward God. In this shared experience, the Panaw-duaw became more than a physical walk—it became an act of faith that united our hearts more fully with Him.
