Cabahug, Patrick Dave C. Cabaobao, and Romeo L. Catapang III, discussed key provisions of two relevant laws in the Philippines ā€“ Republic Act No. 7877, also known as the “Anti-Sexual Harassment Act,” and Republic Act No. 11313, or the “Safe Spaces Act.”

During the radio program, CJC LSPs emphasized to the audience the state’s policy of valuing the dignity of every individual, enhancing the development of its human resources, ensuring the full respect for human rights, and upholding the dignity of workers, employees, job applicants, students, or those undergoing training and education. In the discussion of the “Anti-Sexual Harassment Act,” the public was informed that all forms of sexual harassment in the workplace, educational institutions, or training environments are considered unlawful.

Furthermore, CJC LSPs also delved into the “Safe Spaces Act,” which encompasses all types of gender-based sexual harassment (GBSH) occurring in public spaces, educational or training institutions, workplaces, as well as online spaces.

CJC LSPs remain committed to advocating for public interest causes and will continue to serve the community, not only through providing free legal services but also through public information campaigns.”
