Cor Jesu College once again showcased its excellence in hospitality education as its Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students bagged multiple awards in a series of prestigious competitions held in Digos City from September 4 to 7, 2025.
Mocktail Mixing (Day 2 – September 4, 2025)
Two CJC representatives displayed flair and creativity in the Mocktail Mixing Competition. Franz Lowell Junsay, a 3rd-year BSHM CABE student, secured 3rd Place, while Trishe Anne Taub, a 4th-year BSHM CSP student, impressed the judges with her outstanding concoction, claiming 1st Place. Competing against five other schools, their victory highlighted both skill and innovation in beverage crafting.
Table Set-up and Ikebana Floral Competition (Day 4 – September 6, 2025)
Creativity and elegance took center stage as CJC students competed in both the Table Set-up and Ikebana Floral Competition. Representing the Table Set-up category were Lanie Rose Abella, Arlyn Amolo, and Bien Remier Dacuro, while Ramon Jr. Bonoton and Trishia Montecillo showcased artistry in Ikebana floral arrangements. Facing participants from five other schools, the CJC team emerged as Champions, bringing home pride and honor with their stellar performance.
Filipino Cuisine and Theme Cake Challenge (Day 5 – September 7, 2025)
The final day of competitions highlighted the culinary mastery of CJC students.
Filipino Cuisine: Among eight participating schools, Judewin Pado and King Ralph Tabanao (Entry #5, CSP BSHM 4th-year) won Champion, while Mirven Catubig and Joel Labo (Entry #6, BSHM 2nd-year) took 3rd Place, showcasing the rich flavors of Filipino heritage.
Theme Cake Challenge: In a creative display of artistry and teamwork, Krizz Kaye Magaway and John Lloyd Cabije (Entry #5, 4th-year BSHM) were declared Champion, while Ivygail Samson and Francis Ortega (Entry #6, 3rd-year BSHM) secured 3rd Place.
