Cor Jesu College continues to strengthen its commitment to global education as selected students from the College of Education, Arts and Sciences and College of Special Programs successfully participate in an International Teaching Practicum in Thailand for one month.
The participating students are warmly welcomed at St. Peter School, Sampran, Thailand, where they were given the opportunity to apply their pedagogical knowledge in an international setting. The practicum aims to expose future educators to diverse classroom environments, teaching strategies, and cultural experiences, further enhancing their professional competence and global perspective.
The students who took part in the international teaching practicum, along with their respective programs, are:
- Ian Lloyd A. Ricablanca – Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED), English (CSP)
- Sydney B. Gumera – Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED), Science
- Diana Sambogan – Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED)
- Samantha Mediodia – English
- Christine Aira M. Lecera – Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED)
- Christy Joy B. Hangad – Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED), Mathematics
- Dhan Charlie T. Burgos – Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED), English
The student-teachers actively engage in classroom instruction, lesson planning, and school activities under the guidance of cooperating teachers from St. Peter School. The school community expressed their warm acceptance and support, recognizing the practicum as part of the students’ international teaching requirement.
The international teaching practicum is supervised by Dr. Princess Fe C. Deliva, the practicum supervisor, who ensures that the students meet academic standards while gaining meaningful teaching experience abroad.
