Cor Jesu College successfully conducted the 2nd College Faculty Research Forum on December 12, 2025, at the Auditorium, 6th Floor, Norbert Building, bringing together faculty researchers in a shared pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and human development.
With the theme “Advancing Human Development Through Educational Research and Technological Innovation,” the forum served as a platform for faculty members to present scholarly works that address contemporary challenges in education, society, science, and technology. The activity was spearheaded by the Research and Publication Office (RPO), reinforcing the institution’s commitment to a strong research culture.
Cluster 2: Science, Technology, and Innovative Systems highlighted research contributions from the College of Engineering (COE) and the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS). The presentations explored foresight-driven urban development, computer-based licensure examinations for librarians, and the application of deep learning architectures in agricultural disease detection.
Insightful reactions and scholarly responses were provided by the designated reactors, Dr. Harry Dave B. Villamor and Ms. Cyril Marie S. Ramos, CPA, MBA, MPA, who offered constructive feedback to further enrich the research discussions. A virtual intermission number by the CJC Terpsichorean Performance Group added a creative pause to the academic program.
The forum concluded with an open forum and sharing of insights, followed by the distribution of certificates and a photo opportunity, recognizing the valuable contributions of the presenters and participants. Closing remarks were delivered by Geneive Alyssa Gonzaga, Program Head of the BPEd Program, and Ms. Princess Juliana Lazarte, Research Associate, who also served as the Master of Ceremonies.
Through the successful staging of the 2nd College Faculty Research Forum, Cor Jesu College continues to strengthen its research-driven initiatives, fostering a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and innovation in support of national and global development.
