CABE Students compete in the Philippine Stock Exchange

Cor Jesian members of JFINEX and JPIA organizations, namely Alleah Villahermosa, Michael Wabingga, Reyjane Mercado, Benfred Mamburao, and Marvin Louize Ayo, exhibited their excellence and expertise during the 22nd Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition held at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City on October 28, 2022.

Out of fifty-four (54) schools nationwide that sent their students to compete in this prestigious and well-recognized competition, the participants bagged third place in regional standing and became one of the qualifiers for the national competition held at the Philippine Stock Exchange Building at Bonifacio Global City (BGC).

The competition, which was sponsored by Finex Philippine, JP Morgan, and Chase, was initiated to create a platform for the students to sharpen their knowledge while widening their connections and building camaraderie with their fellow participants.

Bringing with them the pride of our school, the winning participants traveled to the northern part of our archipelago, specifically the PSE Tower, Bonifacio Global City, and Taguig, as one of the qualifiers for the final round of the 22nd Inter Collegiate Finance Competition, nearly a month after securing a portion during the regional level of the competition.

At the end of the competition, they were able to sit in the 10th spot.

Certainly, these students showed beyond doubt how powerful a person’s will and dedication influence his or her own success despite the severity of the challenges he or she may face all along. Thus, no matter how bitter and bumpy the process leading to success, the triumph that comes after it would be exceedingly sweet.
