𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 — Bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world fiscal policy, second-year students from the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (𝗖𝗔𝗕𝗘) and the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 (𝗖𝗦𝗣) conducted an immersive site visit at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Regional Office today, March 19, 2026.
The 1st BSP Educational Tour successfully bridged the gap between academic theory and the pulse of the Philippine economy. For the second-year students, this visit was more than a field trip; it was a high-impact immersion into the “𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀” of central banking that maintain the nation’s financial equilibrium. The experience provided students with a clearer understanding of key concepts discussed in their 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 & 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 course, enabling them to visualize how these principles are applied in real-world settings.
This experience underscores the importance of experiential learning in higher education. By witnessing the operations and functions of the central bank firsthand, the students gained practical insights that reinforced classroom learning and deepened their appreciation of the role of monetary authorities in maintaining economic stability.
