Cor Jesu College congratulates Dr. Kirt Anthony R. Diaz, Vice President for Academic Affairs, on the publication of his research titled “The Moderating Effect of Attitude Toward Technology on the Relationship Between Digital Literacy and Electronic Resources Utilization on Higher Education,” co-authored with Ma. Liberty Cadungog.
Published in Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal, Volume 63 (ISSN: 2822-4353), the study examined the relationship between digital literacy and electronic resource utilization among 300 undergraduate students from four higher education institutions in Davao City.
The findings revealed that students demonstrated very high digital literacy and positive attitudes toward technology, alongside high utilization of electronic resources. Digital literacy was significantly associated with electronic resource utilization, although attitude toward technology did not significantly moderate this relationship. The study also identified Open Educational Resources (OERs) as the least utilized among the electronic resources examined.
The research underscores the importance of sustained digital literacy training, user education, and institutional initiatives to encourage greater utilization of electronic resources, particularly OERs.
