DOST-PCIEERD-Funded Project Advances Through Pre-Implementation Meeting

Cor Jesu College hosted an onsite pre-implementation meeting for its newly approved Institution Development Program project funded by the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).

The project, with PMIS No. 1214966, is titled “Built Environment Microclimate and Cool Corridors Laboratory for Digos City: A Lab for Heat-Resilient Streetscape Retrofit Design.” The meeting was conducted to orient the project team on the guidelines and requirements to be observed before, during, and after the implementation of the project.

The discussions covered key requirements related to the preparation of progress and financial reports, purchase documents, and other requirements stipulated under DOST Memorandum Circular No. 003, series of 2025, or the Guidelines for the Grants-In-Aid (GIA) Program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Its Agencies.

The activity also included a pre-engagement on DOST-PCIEERD Funding Programs and the promotion of the RDLead FIRE Program, providing the project team with additional information on relevant funding and research and development opportunities.

The pre-implementation meeting marks an important step toward the proper implementation of the project, which seeks to establish a laboratory focused on built environment microclimate and heat-resilient streetscape retrofit design for Digos City.
