CJC Produces its 13th Topnotcher

Perseverance. Preparedness. Prayers. These are but a few of the key qualities of the 13th Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Topnotcher of Cor Jesu College-College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CJC-CEDAS) has emphasized to be among the top.

Ferdinand Angelo A. Revilla, a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) under CJC Teacher Education Program (CJC-TEP), has bagged Ninth Place in June 2022 LET for the BEED program, added after one topnotcher in 2016, two in 2017, eight in 2018 and two in 2019 board exams. Now an inspiration to many aspiring topnotchers, he emphasized the value of hard work, readiness, and above all, faith in oneself and in God.

This 24 year-old topnotcher has commended how Cor Jesu College ā€“ Teacher Education Program has helped him to prepare and quoted, ā€My experience in Cor Jesu was excellent. Even though my teachers were strict, they are just doing their very best for us to become well-educated students. They really help us build a strong foundation for understanding the concepts of our studies. With that, I am grateful to my teachers for giving their best to instill learning in our minds and hearts. Even though I was an underachiever in my college days, but still I appreciate their efforts for being our teachersā€.

Moreover, the school performance delights the faculty and administration as the BEED and BSED programs have 100% and 70% performance ratings respectively. Dr. Anna Liza C. Cerbo, the LET Review Subject teacher, said that this achievement proves that the training in CJC for its education students is beyond compare. ā€œThe pool of TED faculty who have the expertise in their fields helped our students to be fully equipped on the concepts of professional subjects in educationā€, she added.

Because of this achievement, the faculty and administration of CJC-CEDAS are motivated to start the school year and continue to deliver the quality education that aims to nurture and develop community, apostleship, and excellence. CJC continues to commit to drawing out the best in its student. Dr. Carlos E. Carado, the dean of CEDAS, said ā€œWe have prepared our students very intensively for the LET. We have several programs under the Teacher Education Department whose focus is to achieve, if not surpass, our passing rate target. I believe that these things are worth celebrating. We will work harder to make sure that the good things that we are doing will be sustained.ā€
