CJC BSBA Students: Bagged Awards in the 4th BMAP Mindanao Summit

The Business Management Association of the Philippines (BMAP) Mindanao Chapter held its 4th BMAP Summit with the theme “Get Switch On!” Check out the chances of making good connections… BMAP Mindanao, Get Ready to Grow.” last August 25, 2023 at the UIC Davao City Campus. CJC was declared as having the biggest delegation with a total number of 167 student participants both coming from the College of Special Programs and the College of Business Accountancy and Entrepreneurship, and 4 Faculty Members out of the overall 467 participants from the 11 participating colleges and universities in Mindanao. The BSBA students also bagged various awards from the Mindanao-wide competition: Alyza Graciano, Grand Champion in the “The Voice” competition; Hapepa Uan, Alleah Villahermosa, Jelly Queen Salcedo, Louis Pocholo Butaslac and Nica Ngojo, 1st Runner Up in the Business Plan Competition; Trisha Kyle Tampipi, won the title of Ms. BMAP Ambassadress 2023, and Gerson Salut, who came in third place for Mr. BMAP Ambassador 2023.  

 The activity began with an opening salvo from the chosen UIC students. After that, the COMEPP National Officers, Mindanao Officers, BMAP Officers, school delegates, and sponsors were recognized. The welcome speech was given by Dr. Kenneth L. Sanido, President of COMEPP Mindanao, and the opening remarks was given by Dr. Erikka June D. Forosuelo, COMEPP National Vice President for Mindanao. The inspiring talk was given by Dr. Dunhil Bilog, who is the Vice President of COMEPP Mindanao and the CABE Dean from the University of the Immaculate Concepcion. The program was followed by the competition proper. The 4th Mindanao Summit enabled the student participants to increase mutual awareness and understanding from the different places in Mindanao and to support the development of competencies, talents, and skills that help them work together on societal challenges.
