While consistently beating the national passing average in recent history, the Teachers Education program of Cor Jesu College has not produced a Top 10 passer until Charlene Ararao, BSED-English, finally broke the ice with a Top 6 finish with 88.80% in the September 2016 examinations. To cap an impressive outcome, this batch of first timers garnered a passing rate of 97.67% and 79.09% for BEED and BSED programs, respectively. This, in the light of national passing averages of 30.18% (BEED) and 33.78% (BSED). The results placed Cor Jesu College Teachers Education in the Top 3 performing school programs in the region. A total of 77,466 BEED and 92,754 BSED examinees took the September 2016 licensure examinations.

Charlene was a consistent topnotcher in the built-in LET review of the college, ranking Top 1 in the mockboard and eventually receiving a scholarship to a 55-day review class conducted by a third party review center in Davao City  sponsored by the CJC Office of the President.

“The built-in LET Comprehensive Review crafted by the Teachers Education Division has been principally instrumental in producing passers. Now, we can say we produce topnotchers” – beamed a smiling and proud Anna Liza Cerbo, MLMEd – CJC LET Review Coordinator.
