Eight out of eleven senior high school students from Cor Jesu College won different awards during the 1st Regional Research Congress for Senior High School Students held in Cor Jesu College, Digos City, Philippines last May 19, 2017.
The congress was participated by 103 senior high school students and teachers from various schools all over Region XI. As endorsed by the Department of Education, the congress was hosted by Cor Jesu College.
Sixty-one (61) papers were presented and the presenters were grouped into five clusters. Furthermore, each cluster had three judges and awards were given for Best Oral Presentation and Best Powerpoint Presentation.
The winners from Cor Jesu College were the following:
For cluster 3, Jans Jumawan was the champion in Oral Presentation and also the champion in Best PowerPoint Presentation.
For cluster 5, John Paul Benedict Aves was the champion in Oral Presentation and first runner-up in PowerPoint Presentation while Thea Aldeguer was second runner-up in Oral Presentation and second runner- up in PowerPoint Presentation.
For cluster 4, Kyla Cuevas was champion in Oral Presentation and 1st runner- up in PowerPoint Presentation. Moreover, Edgar Maverick Ayag II was awarded as first runner-up in Oral Presentation and champion in Best PowerPoint Presentation.
For cluster 3, Ramysheil Magaway was adjudged as first runner -up in Oral Presentation and first runner-up in PowerPoint Presentation.
For cluster 1, Ace Lawrence Rañises was proclaimed second runner-up in Oral Presentation and champion in Best PowerPoint Presentation.
For cluster 2, April Grace Miego won as third runner-up in Oral Presentation.
